“ hands down the best customer service i have EVER received! we were greeted at the door by the owner and he took his time to explain to us all the dishes and answered all the questions we had to the best of his abilities (we had a lot of questions because it was our first time trying african food). there are pictures posted all over the restaurant about pretty much all of the different dishes available & that’s super helpful to actually see what you’re ordering. most of their drinks are made in house and they are all delicious...my favorite being the Darkasse! my favorite dishes were the curry chicken with fufu and the mburu faas. the mburu faas was to die for! the attention to detail with the africa shaped plates was amazing as well! ”
“ The food was great! I’m so surprised that this place isn’t packed full. I think the only reason it isn’t packed every minute is its location. If this was in down town it would be the place to go. It would have been reviewed by every foodie and media outlet. If you are a foodie or you are tired of eating food come here! Your love for food will return. I ordered the pyramid and a habiscus fusion drink. I will be returning and I hope more people will drive to eat here. Keep this place in business and busy! ”
“ Truly a hidden gem! I never really tried any African cuisine outside of Ethiopian food, but oh boy this place is in its own league. Some items like hummus, tabouli etc beats any other greek restaurants. We tried the chicken pyramid and jolof rice, pyramid was our favorite. My only word of advice is if you’re ordering hot spicy, better be prepared for the heat! ”
“ Great place in the Apex Nc area for an authentic African food. Me and my wife love African and Ethiopian food. Love their variety, flavors and spices. I can easily relate to an Indian cuisine. The injirias here are soft and fluffy. We had lunch here and got the vegetarian platter, peri peri chicken wings, fattaya and African fries, everything tasted great. The peri peri wings was spicy and juicy. Overall a great experience. Friendly staff and fast service and cleanly maintained restaurant. ”
“ They need more restaurants like this in the Triangle. Being able to have both injera and jollof rice in one place for one meal is impressive enough, and it tastes scrumptious. Meat and rice are both seasoned properly and the spice levels are perfect. They cooked here ”
“ This place is fantastic! The staff are so patient and helpful answering questions and helping everyone find a dish they’ll enjoy. (There was a group there during one visit with soooo many questions and the lady at the counter was eternally patient with them.) My husband and I love African cuisine and this place easily beat the African restaurants we’ve visited in D.C. or anywhere else. They have a very wide menu, and everything we’ve had has been incredibly flavorful and perfectly balanced! (I love SPICY and my dish did not disappoint, but they have plenty of non-spicy dishes as well.) ”
“ Everything we ate was delicious! They can make your dish, mild or spicy, but if you order spicy, you better be prepared for spicy as they use habanero peppers to spice things up! We will definitely be returning. It was so so good.!! This is a hidden gem! You better get out here if you want authentic African food! ”
“ By far this is the best restaurant I been to in Apex. I have brought my family from PA, NY and my Apex family. They love the food and come back for seconds and thirds. The food is amazing, the service superb, suggestions of food never fail and drinks to die for. When in Apex or want to try new amazing delicious food. Come to Yagg Sii Tenn, I promise you won't be disappointed.. PS, fufu tastes best when eating with fingers. ”
